Geographically speaking, Provence spreads its wings from the east of the Rhone to Comte de Nice, Var and, further west, Comtat Venaissin.
Provence is officially registered as consisting of six subdivisions:
Bouches-du-Rhone, Vaucluse, Var, Alpes Maritime, Alpes de Hautes Provence and Alpes Maritimes.
Touristically speaking, we can add Nimes and its surrounds as well as the mid-south of the Drome, so called "La Drome Provencale". |
